Carnaby Street - Mini Dress & The Beatles Apple Boutique

Posted on February 24 2016

Carnaby Street Swinging Dress.
Imagine it's London in 1967 By the 1960s, Carnaby Street proved popular for followers of both the Mod and hippie styles. Many independent fashion boutiques, and designers such as Mary Quant, Marion Foale and Sally Tuffin, Lord John, Take Six, and Irvine Sellars were located in Carnaby Street including the Beatles Fashion Store called The Beatles Apple Boutique (source Wikipedia) The arrival of the mini dress spawned negative conservative criticisms citing that these dresses were immoral and further evidence of declining family values. Yes the 60s was a catalyst of change in so many ways.

This dress is a typical example of a 60's style "formal" mini dress, there is a modern twist with this dress namely the hi-lo style but it does not detract away from that 60's look. Available in Black dress and white collar or light pink with white collar. Short sleeves and back zipper fastening, click here to see the Carnaby Street dress
