Blue French Inspired Edwardian Parasol
Blue French Inspired Edwardian Parasol.
Can be used as a parasol, not suggested for rain but material is Nylon so if you wanted to jump over puddles you have been warned. This is a replica Edwardian Parasol, you may recognize this from famous paintings from Caillebotte, Renoir, Childe, Monet and so many more. This has all the pomp and frills that one would expect from a lady of the Golden Age and very well off. This parasol’s origins would have been made around 1908 and had a French look inspired by Louis the XIV. Its bows, pearls and lace trim would have shown other women their financial status in life.
Of course this is a replica and made from modern materials. This is a pale blue background with white polka dots. Ivory lace trim and strategically placed blue ribbon bows with faux pear accents. The Pièce de résistance is a blue rose and bow that sits majestically at the center of the parasol surrounded by an extra circular tier and braided chord that gives this umbrella that classic vintage look when the parasol is closed.
Metal spokes, manual open and close action, sturdy handle grip with blue bow accent. Material is Nylon.
